The speakers at the event are:
Dr. Romesh Weeramantry – Head of International Dispute Resolution at the Centre for International Law, National University of Singapore, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Law, and Advisor at international law firm Clifford Chance (Asia)
Dr. Jansen Calamita – Head of Investment Law and Policy, Centre for International Law, National University of Singapore, and Associate Professor, Faculty of Law
Nino Bakakuri – Judge at the Supreme Court of Georgia, Georgian representative to the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ), and member of the Consultative Council of European Judges (CCJE) of the Council of Europe.
Irina Chankseliani – Head of International Legal Projects, Georgian Lawyers for Independent Profession, Consultant for International Arbitration Services.
The speakers will discuss important topics in international investment arbitration, such as reforms to investor–state dispute settlement (ISDS reforms), key features of investment arbitration, the legal framework for foreign investments under Georgian legislation, recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitration awards, and more.
