🌍 Antwerp, Belgium | WAML 2026 Nino Lipartia, Chairperson of Georgian Lawyers for Independent Profession, is participating in the 30th World Congress of the World Association for Medical Law (WAML), held at the University of Antwerp, Belgium. During the congress, Nino Lipartia presented a scientific paper titled: “Rethinking Medical Negligence in the Age of AI: Loss of Chance Doctrine as a Response to Algorithmic Decision-Making.” The presentation addresses the legal challenges of medical negligence and professional liability in the age of artificial intelligence, focusing on the crucial Loss of Chance doctrine in legally assessing possible harm arising from algorithmic decisions. This marks Nino Lipartia's first participation in the WAML World Congress as the national representative of Georgia, an important step towards showcasing Georgian medical law in the international academic and professional arena. Within the congress, Nino Lipartia also received invitations to engage in international scientific projects and initiatives in the field of medical law. It is particularly significant for us that Georgia’s representative actively participates in international professional and academic dialogue, creating new opportunities for sharing and cooperating on Georgian legal expertise globally.
