On July 6, 2026, the Chairman of the Georgian Lawyers for Independent Profession Association (GLIP), Nino Lipartia, and Board Member Ioseb Gabaraevi presented as invited lecturers at the International Summer School of Hamburg University before an international academic audience.
They delivered a lecture on "The Use of Artificial Intelligence in Medical Services and Liability Issues in Cases of Medical Error/Inferior Medical Care."
During the lecture, the concept of medical error, the legal foundations of medical professional liability, the Loss of Chance theory, models of strict liability, as well as the practices of the European Court of Human Rights and Georgian common courts related to these issues were discussed.
The lecture attracted special interest among the international academic audience and provided an opportunity to discuss modern legal challenges related to the use of artificial intelligence in healthcare, as well as to present the experience of Georgian law and court practice in a comparative legal context.
The Georgian Lawyers for Independent Profession Association places significant importance on international academic cooperation, which supports the sharing of knowledge and experience, strengthening professional connections, and showcasing Georgian legal experience in the international academic space.

GLIP participated in the Antwerp congress, where Professor Nino Lipartia was appointed WAML National Representative for Georgia and Georgian medical-law presentations were delivered.
From August 5-7, 2026, the 30th Annual World Congress for Medical Law was held in Antwerp, Belgium, featuring a presentation by GLIP Board member Lawyer Ioseb Gabaraev on criminal aspects of healthcare fraud.
