On November 30, 2025, the group 'Georgian Lawyers for an Independent Profession' together with the Legal Profession Development Center organized a seminar on family law disputes in Zugdidi. The seminar was led by Ekaterine Gasitashvili, Judge of the Supreme Court of Georgia (2015-2025).
On November 30, 2025, in the city of Zugdidi, the group 'Georgian Lawyers for an Independent Profession' and the Legal Profession Development Center organized a training seminar titled "Issues in the Consideration of Family Law Disputes."
The seminar was led by Ms. Ekaterine Gasitashvili, who is also a Judge of the Supreme Court of Georgia (2015-2025).
The following topics were discussed at the seminar:
Issues related to the division of property acquired during marriage;
Problems concerning the attribution of the child and determination of the child's place of residence;
Problematic issues of inheritance acceptance;
Marriage contracts and problems related to the conduct of disputes arising from them.
Through this seminar, participants received valuable knowledge on significant issues of family law which will contribute to improving legal practice in Georgia.

The lecture was delivered by Nino Lipartia, Doctor of Law and specialist in medical law. The event was interactive and organized by Ilia State University's Law and Freedom Club in cooperation with "Lawyers of Georgia for Independent Profession."
