On February 26-27, 2025, Georgian Lawyers for Independent Profession, the Legal Profession Development Center, and the Georgian Association of Women Auditors and Lawyers organized a study visit to the Council of Europe and the European Court of Human Rights held in Strasbourg, France. During the visit, participants attended a hearing in the Grand Chamber of the European Court of Human Rights concerning the case of Tsava and Others v. Georgia, related to the events on June 20-21, 2019, on Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi. The group also visited the Council of Europe, learning about its operational specifics and gaining insights into the principles and procedures of the Group of States Against Corruption (GRECO). On the second day, participants met with Georgian Judge Mr. Lado Chanturia and court lawyer Ms. Nino Khaindrava, who provided information about the court's operational specifics, petition procedures, and case law on various legal issues. This educational visit provided attendees with valuable knowledge on international legal processes and human rights protection.
