Georgian Lawyers for the Independent Profession, the Georgian Association of Women Auditors and Lawyers, and the Legal Profession Development Center invite you to a salon meeting to discuss the mission, freedom, and dignity of the lawyer profession.
The meeting's theme is "Lawyer – Master of Oneself." The event will feature quotes from Dato Turashvili's famous book, including:
"I always thought and still think that freedom does not exist without justice and vice versa – where there is no justice, there is no freedom."
"Sometimes I comfort myself that a writer is already an advocate of people and literature helps a person to be freer."
"A country where a person is not master of oneself can never leave behind the Soviet mentality retained until today and cannot move forward to a European future."
The book "Master of Oneself" is dedicated to the 100-year anniversary of Georgian advocacy and includes significant moments in the history of Georgian law and portraits of distinguished Georgian lawyers who devoted their lives to freedom and the defense of people.

On June 7, 2026, a public lecture on medical error and physician liability was successfully conducted at Ilia State University. The lecture was delivered by Nino Lipartia, Doctor of Law and specialist in medical law. The event was interactive and organized by Ilia State University's Law and Freedom Club in cooperation with "Lawyers of Georgia for Independent Profession."
