On March 11, the UN Global Compact Network Georgia hosted a meeting within the Decent Work Action Platform focused on the grounds for termination of employment relationships. The event was organized in collaboration with GLIP and the Legal Profession Development Center.

⚖️ On March 11, the UN Global Compact Network Georgia hosted its first meeting within the Decent Work Action Platform entitled “Review of Judicial Practice: Grounds for Termination of Employment Relationships”. The event was held in cooperation with the UN Global Compact Network Georgia, "Georgian Lawyers for Independent Profession" (GLIP), and the Legal Profession Development Center (LPDC). 🎤 The meeting was opened by Akaki Kukhaleishvili, Business and Human Rights Manager of the UN Global Compact Network Georgia, who thanked the invited experts for their participation and emphasized the importance of the Decent Work Action Platform. 📚 Presentations were delivered by Ekaterine Gasitashvili, labor law expert and Justice of the Supreme Court of Georgia (2015–2025), who reviewed the grounds for termination of employment relationships and judicial practice; and by Nino Lipartia, lawyer, professor, and Chairwoman of the Board of "Georgian Lawyers for Independent Profession", who spoke about the procedures for terminating employment relationships and the burden of proof. 💬 The event included a Q&A session where participants received answers to their questions and shared their views with each other. 🌍 Raising awareness about labor rights is one of the priority directions of the UN Global Compact Network Georgia. The network actively supports its member companies in enhancing awareness of labor rights and introducing best practices.
