Last week, on April 27-28, in Berlin, Germany, the 9th International Conference on Environmental Sustainability and Climate Change was hosted by Coalesce Research Group. Representatives of the Georgian Lawyers for Independent Profession (GLIP) actively took part in this prestigious international forum.
Nino Lipartia, Chairwoman of GLIP, presented two reports:
"Climate Change and the Right to Health: Comparative Analysis of National Practices, Constitutional Guarantees, and the Strasbourg Court Perspective"
"Climate Change and the Right to Health: Comparative Analysis of European Practices, Constitutional Guarantees, and the Perspective of the European Convention on Human Rights"
Joseb Gabaraevi from the Georgian National Defense Academy presented a report titled: "Managing Health Risks Related to Climate: Comparative Analysis of International, EU, and National Legal Frameworks."
Another GLIP representative, Nino Tatoshvili, presented on: "Climate Change Risk, Corporate Responsibility, and Legal Innovations: The EU Green Deal for Georgia and the Caucasus Region."
This conference further underscores that Georgian lawyers are actively engaged in global environmental legal discussions and represent Georgia honorably on the international stage. GLIP continues to work toward the development of an independent legal profession and strengthening international cooperation.
Nino Lipartia, Chairperson of Georgian Lawyers for Independent Profession, participates in the 30th World Congress of the World Association for Medical Law and presents a scientific paper on medical negligence challenges in the age of AI.
GLIP participated in the Antwerp congress, where Professor Nino Lipartia was appointed WAML National Representative for Georgia and Georgian medical-law presentations were delivered.
From August 5-7, 2026, the 30th Annual World Congress for Medical Law was held in Antwerp, Belgium, featuring a presentation by GLIP Board member Lawyer Ioseb Gabaraev on criminal aspects of healthcare fraud.
