GLIP Members Participate in European Law Institute Annual Conference in Vienna

Members of the Georgian Lawyers for an Independent Profession – GLIP took part in the European Law Institute (ELI) annual conference held September 22-24, 2025, in Vienna, Austria, discussing various contemporary legal and social challenges.
From September 22 to 24, 2025, the European Law Institute (ELI) held its annual conference in Vienna, Austria, with participation from members of Georgian Lawyers for an Independent Profession – GLIP.
The conference addressed contemporary legal and social challenges, including:
- Business approaches to human rights and environmental protection;
- The importance of judicial independence;
- Harmonization of corporate criminal liability in the European Union;
- Sustainable investments and green finance;
- Climate justice and digital asset inheritance;
- Social justice and inclusive development.
Special attention was given to developing a model of corporate criminal liability, representing a significant step toward a more accountable and sustainable society.
Participation of GLIP members in such international events enables active engagement in the development of the European legal framework and fosters new cooperation opportunities in professional and academic fields.
