Georgian Lawyers for Independent Profession together with the Legal Profession Development Center announce they will arrange an educational visit from September 8 to 12, 2026, to participate in the 10th annual conference of the European Association of Health Law (EAHL).
The conference will be held at Uppsala University, Sweden’s oldest university founded in 1477, from September 9 to 11, 2026.
Europe faces serious challenges including population aging, mental health crises, antimicrobial resistance, infectious and lifestyle diseases, environmental health issues, and fair allocation of healthcare resources. The conference will focus on how law can support essential transformations in digitalization, technology, and medical services while ensuring public health and protection of individual rights.
Topics to be discussed include:
✅ New individual and public health threats
✅ Technological innovations and digitalization in healthcare
✅ Fundamental principles of health law—human dignity, integrity, and confidentiality—in a new European context
✅ Regulatory and systemic changes in European health law
✅ Roles of public and private entities, intellectual property, and competition law
✅ Public health protection strategies alongside respect for individual rights
This is a unique platform for health law researchers, policymakers, lawyers, ethicists, and healthcare professionals to discuss and shape the future of European health law.
