Teona Kupreishvili
Member of the Board
Teona Kupreishvili is an attorney, legal consultant, arbitrator and academic practitioner with more than 20 years of experience across civil, administrative, tax, insurance and intellectual property law. She founded the Copyright Department and works actively as an intellectual property lawyer. Teona is a member of the Board/Supervisory Council of Georgian Lawyers for Independent Profession (GLIP), contributing to the development of a modern, independent and highly professional legal ecosystem.
Teona Kupreishvili’s professional work encompasses legal practice and the protection of business and corporate interests at national and international levels. She is a partner and managing professional at Universal Legal Service Group and T & Z Consulting, which provide clients with full-service legal support and effective management of complex disputes. In parallel, she serves as an arbitrator at the Dispute Resolution Center (DRC), corporate lawyer at PSP Insurance and legal counsel to leading companies. Her practice and expertise focus particularly on intellectual property and copyright management, public procurement, competition law and the complex regulation of insurance law — subjects she has also discussed with Forbes Woman Georgia in the context of her professional path and the foundations of success.
Teona is a general-practice member attorney of the Georgian Bar Association and a member of the Georgian Association of Arbitrators. She has participated in international conferences of the European Intellectual Property Organisation (EIPO) concerning intellectual property law and the mediation of disputes. Her extensive practice includes successful representation before courts and administrative authorities, the preparation of major contractual and legislative projects, and the resolution of multimillion-value disputes. Alongside her practical work, Teona has significant academic experience: for years she lectured at East European University in construction, insurance and general administrative law, and she is currently a PhD candidate there in tax law.
As a member of the GLIP Board, Teona’s professional vision centres on developing legal standards, protecting the rights of the creative and business sectors effectively, and strengthening a competitive and sustainable legal environment in Georgia.
