Nino Lipartia
Chairman of the Board
Nino Lipartia is Chairman of the Board of GLIP, a Doctor of Law, professor and practising attorney. Her work spans legal practice, professional education and international cooperation.
Nino Lipartia is a Doctor of Law, professor and practising attorney whose work combines the development of Georgia’s legal profession with active participation in international legal networks. She has chaired the Board of Georgian Lawyers for Independent Profession (GLIP) since 2018.
In December 2025, the General Assembly of the Georgian Bar Association elected her to the Association’s Executive Board.
Professional leadership and international cooperation
Nino has been a member of the World Association for Medical Law (WAML) since 2025 and is listed as its National Country Representative for Georgia for the 2026–2030 term. Since 2024, she has also been a member and local representative of the European Association of Health Law (EAHL).
She is the founder and partner of the Medical Disputes Center, advises leading organisations on legal matters, and works as an arbitrator and mediator.
Alongside her leadership of GLIP, Nino has served as founder and chair of the Legal Profession Development Center since 2016. She is a board member of the UN Global Compact Network Georgia and deputy chair of the Business Chamber’s Legal Committee for Asia and Persian Gulf Countries.
Education and academic work
Nino completed her master’s degree at Tbilisi State University with honours in 2012. In 2019, she completed the doctoral programme at the same university’s Faculty of Law and was awarded a Doctor of Law degree.
She has been a professor at Grigol Robakidze University since 2020 and at Ilia State University’s School of Law since 2013. Between 2017 and 2023, she was an associate professor at Sulkhan-Saba University. From 2013 to 2017, she delivered training in various legal fields for the Georgian Bar Association and the High School of Justice of Georgia.
Legal practice
Her legal practice began in 2010. She worked as an attorney at David Eristavi Legal Group from 2010 to 2012 and headed the legal department of JSC ARDI Insurance from 2011 to 2024. In 2022, she founded Nino Lipartia Law Office.
International study and professional exchange
Since 2014, Nino has received a number of honorary scholarships supporting study visits to institutions including the Hague Academy of International Law, the International Academy of Arbitration in Paris, the Academy of Mediation in Prague, the Centre for International Law at the National University of Singapore, and the Xiamen Academy of International Law.
She regularly represents Georgia at international congresses and conferences, including the World Congress of Bioethics, the annual meeting of the European Law Association and the Singapore International Arbitration Academy. She also gives lectures at European universities through the Erasmus+ programme.
Research and recognition
Nino is the author or co-author of several monographs and textbooks, as well as more than ten academic papers. Her research covers medical law, labour law, bank guarantees, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution (ADR).
She has worked as an accreditation expert for Georgia’s National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement since 2014 and served as a council member in 2018–2019.
In 2025, she received an award recognising her outstanding contribution to the field of law. In 2019, she was nominated for Woman Leader of the Year from the non-governmental sector.
